Where Do We Spray?
When we give you a quote, the quote is for lawn areas only. Unless you tell us otherwise, we will quote you for all of the lawn areas on your property.
For those living in towns or cities, we will also include any boulevard lawn bordering your property as those aren’t typically looked after by your city or municipality. You likely wouldn’t want to have dandelions from the boulevard spreading onto your adjacent grass on the other side of the public sidewalk. These are comparatively small areas and aren’t apt to have any significant effect on your lawn quote.
We do not spray gravel driveways, parking areas, or walkways, or rock areas, as we wouldn’t just be killing any broadleaf weeds that may be growing in the their midst, we’d also potentially be fertilizing any existing grasses, weed seedlings, and non-broadleaf weeds at the same time. As a result, this is somewhat counter-productive in most cases unless specifically “spot-spraying” broadleaf weeds such as dandelions which may have taken root in your gravel driveway or amidst some rocks.
This is also environmentally irresponsible. Our fertilizer is meant to be absorbed by lawns. If we are spraying it anywhere else, there are concerns about run-off and contamination.
Likewise, it’s not uncommon for weeds, especially dandelions, to take root particularly on the edges of lawns, or the edges of driveways, or against fences, buildings, etc. These are particular areas our Spray Crews are mindful of and they will attempt to carefully spray any existing weeds as long as there’s no risk to any nearby shrubs, plants or flowers, etc.
