The Details

We’re committed to educating our clients. We may be the lawn care specialists and our clients surely rely on and take our word for what we recommend, but we prefer that you fully understand what it is that we can do for you in partnering with you to give you the healthy lawn you desire.

We Offer a Proven Spray Program

We’ve been doing this for years already and have a proven highly successful combination spray program that is very effective. This is not just fertilizer with a separate weed control treatment weeks later but rather it’s a combination synergistic fertilizer and commercial-grade broadleaf weed herbicide treatment applied at each and every application.

Our Fertilizer

We only use Liquid Fertilizer

  • We do not apply granular fertilizer; ours is a liquid fertilizer formulation. Although there is nothing wrong with using granular fertilizer, liquid fertilizers certainly have numerous advantages. With liquids you will get a more even coverage of nutrients than you would with a granular fertilizer.

  • Safety plays a key role, too. Although we ask you to keep people and pets off the lawn for 24 hours, after these 24 hours there is no risk of the fertilizer being ingested by animals. However, sometimes fertilizer granules can look like food, especially to birds or other small critters. Plus, granular fertilizers must be cleaned off sidewalks, patios, etc. when the job is done... With liquid, there is no mess left behind. This means there are no messy sidewalks to sweep after an application, and it’s obviously safer for the birds and all kinds of paws, therefore.

We Blend our own Fertilizer

  • As mentioned above, this is very key… Our fertilizer and weed control formula is optimized for not only the time of the year in terms of the N,P, K ratios and other environmental factors, but also according to the region we service. It’s optimized for where you live to ensure the proper nutrients for whatever the season may bring. And as need be, we may modify that blend further should conditions necessitate some further optimization. It’s not some generic compromise product you can buy at the local retail store that’s the same product sold everywhere in the country, or that your neighbour’s lawn care company down the street may use.

  • Most importantly, we 100% guarantee our results.

  • If you’re not totally satisfied after an application, we will continue working with you to do whatever to ensure that you are… or else your last application will be refunded. Click here for our 100% QUALITY SERVICES GUARANTEE.

Our Herbicide

Ours is a Non-Residual Systemic Herbicide

  • It’s important to note that the weed control component of our combination spray is a non-residual systemic herbicide. This means that upon spraying your lawn, whatever broadleaf weeds are already existing, which our spray makes contact with, shall be affected and ideally killed.

  • Depending upon the type of broadleaf weed, you may be lucky enough for 1 or 2 applications to do the job. For example, dandelions, one of the most common weeds in people’s lawns, are also one of the easiest to kill, usually dying within a day or two of our spray application. But more often, it may take 3 or 4 applications to totally eradicate other weeds depending upon how serious your weed problem is or the type of broadleaf weeds you may have.

  • Be mindful, too, that weeds don’t always occur at the exact same time nor grow at the same rate… They may be appearing over a number of weeks or months throughout the growing season. Understandably, it’s not at all uncommon for any new weeds to subsequently arise between our spray applications. It is NOT that our spray wasn’t effective or that we missed some areas where you subsequently are seeing new weeds arise - Those subsequently-arising weeds may not be affected until the next spray application, as they were not already pre-existing so that our herbicide could make contact with them on the previous application. However, the next spray application should get rid of them, and so on with subsequent spray intervals and applications.

  • The fact is... Weeds don’t like competition. But they will typically find a home in unhealthy lawns or struggling or thinner lawns. Healthier, well-maintained lawns don’t typically give room for weeds to thrive. Add to that a routine regimen of our Fertilizer & Weed Control spray, and you should have a lush, green, weed-free lawn... with no dandelion gold in its midst. As many of our clients tell us, their lawns are “the envy of their neighbors” year after year.

Which Weeds Does it Eradicate?

* The following depends upon the health of your lawn and how serious of a weed problem you may have.

EASIER TO CONTROL COMMON WEEDS
(typically requires to 1-2 applications)

  • Dandelions
  • Plantain

MORE DIFFICULT TO CONTROL COMMON WEEDS
(typically requires 2-3 or more applications)

  • Clover
  • Ground Ivy/Creeping Charlie
  • Chickweed
  • Knotweed
  • Ragweed

UNCONTROLLABLE WEEDS WITH OUR PRODUCT

  • Thistle
  • Quack Grass
  • Fox Tail Barley
  • any other non-broadleaf weeds

*Please note that some young actively growing thistles may be eradicated with our herbicide, but it is rare as you will usually just find stunted wilted growth, followed by this resilient weed quickly bouncing back. We can offer some other solutions to deal with thistle, quack grass or other hard to get rid of weeds and pests. Please refer to our “How to Get Rid Of” Helpful Tips documents on our For Your Learning page.
